Got these from Rural King and Not sure what they are. Have a few pics if you can tell what kind or if roo or hen would appriciate it. New to chickens.

Forgot to mention they are somewhere around 15 weeks old. The 3rd and 4th pic has the same dark chicken(Roo?) in it. Sorry pics are not great quality will try to put better ones up when I can. And thank you for identifying what u could.

Thank you all for helping me out. I looked up online pictures. Probably will buy some from a hatchery next time. Kids want to show in 4H so going to ask them what kind they want to show before I order. I do know that the bottom roo even though is small sure seems to want to be the boss and is extremly fast.

Thank you all again

Just my personal opinion, but if your children are going to try to show poultry competitively, I would go to a breeder to get stock. Hatchery birds are, more often than not, pet quality not show quality.

Amen.. 99% of breeders and showers try to push this because they don't want you to be laughed out of the show. One of the hardest people to push it i've met is Rodriguezpoultry after her experience.

I agree with the first being a speckled sussex but i know nothing about them so.. I agree the second is a silver laced wyandotte.. And the third is crossed at some point if it is a Old english.. Old english legs come only one color unless it is a dark variety (Blue, black, brownred, birchen, etc..) and that is white, he has yellow.

Yeah I wouldn't doubt there is some mixed breeds in there. LOL We had talked about getting chickens and then for my birthday they went there and gotten 50.

Oh well I really don't care what kind they are as long as they lay eggs and we have a little chicken fried!!!!
