Hi everyone, wondering if any of you folks could tell me if this little one is a fella or a gal Mum is a Splash Maran and Dad is a Hamburg Cross. I have been thinking rooster but really not sure and not bothered at all if it is rooster, if it is he will be living out his life with us. 9 weeks old. Thanks for any help

Definitely keeping him. My hen, who survived a fox attack but lost one leg, decided this year that she would not surrender this egg (not even her own egg ). As she is a wee princess she gets what she wants so her "son" will be treated like a Prince. We will get more rehome hens for him once he is bigger and make sure our other cockerel and him have plenty of their own space . Should work fine x
