Hi-
I'm considering moving my family and our four silver-laced wyandotte hens from western Mass. to either Newark, NJ; New Brunswick, NJ; or Philadelphia, PA (for grad school). We've already fought the chicken battle once- and won- but we'd rather not do it again if possible. Is anyone from any of these places, and/or do you know what the city regs. are there? Any input very much appreciated. The girls are coming with us no matter what!

Sorry I can't help you with info on regulations. I suppose if you found a specific place to live you could call city hall...

I did that here in Oregon. The City Clerk said, "No chickens." Then she patched me through to the one actually in charge, who said, "Any animals in any amount, as long as the noise and the waste are not a nuisance to the neighbors." Gotta love my new hometown!

Hope it's the same for you wherever you land! All the best!
