Anyone here vent sex?

I just vent sexed my chicks for the first time... I watched numerous videos and took numerous pointers before I even tried. I have owned chicken/chicks for 5 years and never have tried.

I can say I successfully just sexed 3 of my 9 chicks!

Tips, advice, and opinions are more than welcome...

The Brahma mix? She's a pullet het sibling is a cockerel

Two "penguins" are pullets as well. I have a "penguin" looking one with a brown face that's a Pullet. I assume the other 5 are probably cockerels

I had to clean pasty butts so it was perfect timing to vent sex!

Then when I get chicks from the local farm I can make sure I got pullets! I don't order from them until March.

I would love to know what resources you used! Im a vet tech as well and want to work with exotics, so its a skill Im sure will come in handy.

I actually watched videos from Metzer. I have previous experience in livestock animals and fowl with the vet I worked with. Look up Metzer on YouTube, they have really good videos. .
