My family and I are traveling this weekend to the big ATL. We adopted a little boy from the Philippines and have to meet our social worker for a post placement review. Since the trip is 5+ hours one way, we will be arriving in ATL late Friday night. The meeting will only last about 15-30 minutes. I was thinking that maybe if some fellow BYC'er lived somewhere along the way and wouldn't mind some visitors (5 to be exact), that maybe we could get a farm tour on the way home. I have three children, 7 yrs, 5 yrs, and 19 mnths. We have some chickens (all mongrels except for a trio of BOs and two white leghorn cockerels). I would love for them to get to see some silkies, frizzles, or some other novelty breed (especially if they are friendly as ours aren't yet).

If not, it's fine. I know it's short notice. But it would be awesome. I'm trying to start a little poultry farm, but DW isn't as excited as I am. I'm kinda hoping seeing a real farm will get her there.

If you're game, just PM me and we'll work out the details. I will be so very thankful.

First off I love your quote:
"There are many who preach Christ, but not so many who live Christ. My great aim is to live Christ." - Robert Chapman

Amen....and to the wisdom of Mr. Chapman to hear the Lord's voice....

Now to farms, I'm afraid our farm is about 1 hour 30 minutes from the Airport - toward the west and Alabama.

But we have cute and varied flock.
Speckled sussex, rhode island red (production but also a rare non production), buff orpingtons, Cochins, Black copper marans (french standards)
4 kinds of turkeys, guineas, goats, bunnies, welsummers, ameracaunas, barred rocks, and many many more.

PM me if interested. I'd be honored to have you visit.
