pips&peeps :

We've decided we like Pacific Beach better. We went to Grayland because clam season was over at Pacific.

The water seemed a bit rougher at Grayland also.

So you made it to Pacific Beach? man, we could've had us some Silvers.

- Although even if I knew - the day of week wasn't good, I just realized.

Is Pacific Beach the one in Ocean Shores? I can't remember. I do remember at one of the beaches people would be driving up and down the beach. Didn't like that much with young kids.

I love the Oregon Beaches the most. Although we've been talking about heading out to Kalaloch this summer some time. It's probably been 10 yrs or more since we've been out that way. The kids would love it and would love checking out the rainforest.

Need a chicken sitter though. That's half the reason we got rid of the trailer! Hard to travel with birds & dogs, etc.

Just starting to howl pretty good here....am listening to a few branches landing on the roof ....glad we took down 5 of the cottonwoods last fall -
- I live in the deep forest with 100 footers surrounding the house so it gets pretty dang scary....

.......went out to open the pop door earlier and the 7 week olds came out into the run for about 2 minutes - - until a big gust ruffled all their feathers and they scrambled for the ramp!!!!

My addiction is showing when I say........."Hope we don't lose power - will lose my computer!"

Would have to do something mundane like housework!

Don't know about anyone else, but I just experienced 2 hours of a power outage. The wind got REALLY bad, I mean November bad.

We had the greenhouse tumble around the yard, a couple trees snap, the chicks moved into the house for warmth, and we had to cover both bators to keep in the warmth. In the end, when the power finally came back on, we checked them and found both to have temperature dips down to 80 degrees and humidity spikes up to 71%

So far, everything is fine now. The "eye" of this storm (seriously, it had an eye. . . Which just passed about 100 miles north of us.) went further northeast, and so we're out of the worst of it. There's another storm coming though. . . Hopefully it will NOT knock out the power tomorrow though - Because I'll be gone, picking up chicks 3 hours away.
