It seems a big storm rolled thru your area recently and took down numerous Great Blue Heron nests, killing a number of adults and babies. Carolina Waterfowl Rescue http://www.carolinawaterfowlrescue.com/ has been overwhelmed with admissions from this storm and is appealing for volunteers to help with the feeding of the rescued babies as well as donations of fish. The babies eat a quite a few fish each day and they are struggling to keep up.
