After we move I'm thinking about getting into Bonsai. Right now I have a tree outside my bedroom window, and when we move we only have 4 trees on the whole property.
I just love trees so much that since I can't have my tree outside my window why not have my own baby one inside in my window? Any tips and tricks? I ordered some trees to try it with, and I also found at Lowes they have the little trees, I'm going to get one!

here is the website that I got FREE plants off of!

I did Bonsai for a few years. I love trees & I need to get back into the bonsais so I can keep some fruit trees in containers until we move somewhere I can plant them.
"The Bonsai Workshop" is a great resource & very helpful. I am sure it is available on Amazon.

I would watch out for trees from Lowes / Home Depot. In my experience they last until they need to be transplanted or cut back & once you start to actually treat them like Bonsai... they die.

I am not saying that is true with EVERY plant from there, but I had several that did not thrive.

I'm not sure where you are, but I grew up really close to this place:

They have a wonderful nursery & have great classes. Also a lot of links to teaching sites on the web. They really know their stuff.
I bought most of my Bonsai from there. I gave my Mema my bonsai when I separated from my husband & she still has them - 12 years later! They are doing wonderfully & have given her 5 years of pleasure on the heals of my 7 years of enjoyment.
Pretty impressive plants.
