Anyone know about feeding oxytetracycline to one layer?

My vet put my rooster on oxytetracycline today. Mine came in powder form and was from Agrilabs. It is a 4.78 oz bag and makes 128 gallons for the strongest dose possible. This ends up being just under 4 1/2 teaspoons per gallon. I am putting him on the strongest dose since he has pneumonia. Hope this helps. Please remember it is unsafe to eat the eggs for three weeks after discontinuing the medicine.
