The ones that are already laying do, but I tend to find that the pullets don't start until later.

We have more eggs than we can eat or give away right now. I have 2 black sex links that should be getting close too, but I'm not worried about them. I was only worried about Rain, my LO, because of the terrible start she had. She was in very sad shape when she got her. Then, the other chickens have NEVER really accepted her. She's not smart at all. She often pisses off the other chickens, so they pick on her. I have to keep multiple feeding stations because they try to keep her from eating. If you have say 6 chickens the wait would kill you, if you have many chickens many laying ages, if one starts to lay you just go..."Oh, yeah, that one..."
I had read lavender Auracana my bad! They are a small breed! Of course Orpington are a big heavy fluffy breed !Your post still calmed me, but I wondered why you said they weren't a large breed because she's got the widest butt of all the chickens in my little flock. She's a pretty big girl. She looks like a feathery basketball running around the yard lol. To hear that there are others that don't lay for months and months is reassuring.
