Anyone know how to be persuasive?

I'm hoping to make my own incubator, despite the fact I just bought one. I would like to enter it in the contest but I need to be able to persuade parents into letting me buy everything, with my own money so I can construct it. All I need now is to be persuasive. Any ideas?

Wait until school begins and make a deal with the science teacher to use the incubator as your science project.

They are safe and easy to build and make a GREAT science experiment. Maybe you can get extra credit?
