Anyone know if peafowl are a potential problem for ducks or geese?

My neighbor down the road had a tree hit is garage last night and today his 5 peafowl (all full grown but young) showed up. Probably to avoid all the noise and mess of the people dealing with the downed tree. First saw them shortly after letting my birds out to free range in the morning. Well long story short they decided to fly over the fence and spent the whole day with my ducks and geese many times with in a few feet of each other. My ducks seemed to think they were very interesting and the geese were more unsure particularly when the male started to shake his tail. The silly boy tried displaying his still growing tail for all the peahens, my ducks, my geese and even the 2 pheasants in a large cage. No one seemed to think much of his attempts. I have no idea on how to keep them out and everyone got along very well. They seem friendly and I hate to shoe them away as long as things are still being done with the tree clean up and them getting along with my birds so far. I know he lets them free range at least during the day and my garden is a pretty safe spot for them during the day. I am hoping that they will go home when things settle down. Does anyone know if they might be a problem for my ducks and geese? Should I be trying to keep them a bit more separated or just let them hang with my birds?

The peafowl would be more likely to catch something from your birds rather than vice versa. Peafowl can be bullies sometimes and could peck at your birds.

My birds are very healthy and the peafowl look pretty good as well but I couldn't check them over either. My guess is with all the wild birds around and us being neighbors that they all, my duck and geese and his peafowl, have been exposed to most of the stuff around here. I doubt that there will be a problem with illness unless one of the species is susceptible to things that the others might be carrying but not showing. I do know that there have been Northern fowl mites, and Scaly leg mites in some of the birds that other neighbors have had. Neither has bothered my birds yet but with all the bathing I was under the impression that the waterfowl are less prone to them.

I had heard that the peafowl can be bullies but have never had to deal with them before so wasn't really sure how that went. So far they seemed more like they just wanted to hang out in a safe spot and found my birds. Anything I should be watching for in terms of the bulling? And seeing as how peaceful things went today how likely is it that they will start being mean to the ducks and geese here in the coming days? Are they like goose ganders in having a meaner/grumpier breeding season or is it more of a territorial thing for them? I really don't want any of them to get hurt and am still trying to figure out what to do here.

If they have moved in, there isn't much you can do about it unless you are willing to kill them. They are not easy to catch and it sounds like there is no place to take them back to. So, I guess your best option is to tolerate their presence.

I won't kill them but if they get mean to my birds I may try to drive them away. And I could be quite a deterrent if they started being mean to my birds. I actually like seeing them but only if they are not a problem. So far everything is going okay. I am hoping that once everything returns to normal at the neighbors that they will stop hanging out in the garden with my ducks. We have wild turkeys here as well but they never come in the garden, just look through the fence. Just about everyone here has some sort of livestock or pets and then there is the wildlife. Guess its all part of being in the country.

I have my peafowl housed with my call ducks always. Other than the peahens occaisonally getting mad and the ducks for getting in the water bowl (she'll peck at the ducks wing tips) when the peahens are drinking it's fine. I've even had peahens hatch out call ducklings.
