anyone know if this is a good incubator?

I'm using two of these with good success. Be sure to calibrate the humidity and temperature for the most accuracy and confidence.
One sensor = no clue
Two sensors = no clue which is correct
three sensors = the two that match are good, third needs to be adjusted.

I run humidity for coturnix at 20-30% in a Styrofoam Hovabator with good hatch rates (when fertile!) until lockdown then bump it to 40-50%. Try it and see what works for you. I am at sea level in a swamp. Don't really get dry air.

Cheers and happy hatching!

I have two Kebonnixs incubators running right now. I'm on day 19.5-20 and I was having trouble getting the humidity past 60%. I put a large laundry basket with lots of holes over it and some towels over that, leaving some holes exposed. With this method, I was able to get my humidity to 64%. However, I was re-reading the manual (which is SO POORLY written!) and it said something about opening the vents????? There is a really dark, small, blurry photo showing where the vent is located but, I cannot tell from the photo! Can you help???? It says the vent should be fully opened during this stage.

PS. I candled all the eggs two days ago and I think they are all good! or they were!

Good news about the eggs! I've 12 in lock down right now.
I worry at that high a humidity. In lock down, I aim for 40-50% humidity. Houston has higher ambient humidity than Austin. Don't stress over it. How large were the air cells when you candled? There are candling videos and guides in BYC and online that you can compare too. If the egg doesn't lose enough moisture, the chick will drown. Each location, each incubator, each species has different needs for good hatching. Use this as a learning step and see what works for you.

Several places on line suggest opening the vents and leaving them open to allow oxygen to the developing chicks. I pulled all my plugs and don't use them.

Thank you! The air cells seemed right on target when I candled them just before lockdown. Someone suggested using a damp sponge inside the incubator to increase humidity and that did the trick for me! I also found the vents (emailed the manufacturer). And now I have eight eggs pipping! The excitement has begun!

Thanks again for your response!

Does anyone have know who manufactures this KEBONNIXS 12 Egg Incubator. Can’t find a web site at all using the product name. Looks very interesting. Thanks

There is no website listed on the packaging or in the instruction manual I have but, they do provide this email address: [email protected]

I did email them and they responded promptly.

(this email was edited because I originally provided the incorrect email address)

Ok, cool thanks I’ll try that. Like to make sure I can get a hold of someone if needed before I buy.lol.

Yes, I couldn't figure out from the instruction manual where the "vents" were. When I got to Day 18-19 for "lockdown" the instruction manual said to open the vents all the way. They emailed me back within 24 hours and gave me a better description. I got a 70% hatch rate out of my incubators. I bought two of them. One of them did better than the other one though-- even though they were set up side by side and I tended them both equally. One of them seemed to have a more difficult time holding the higher humidity levels required at "lockdown" but, someone told me about a hack where you put a piece of damp sponge in the incubator. That did the trick!

Tried to email and message returns, I look a bit more later. Thanks again.
