So I don't know how size reflects the next generation.

I want to breed a Phoenix which is a small standard to my Swedish flower hen medium/ large to develop a longer tail on the Swedish flower rooster.

By crossing the size difference would the next generation take on the small standard or large standard or is it 50/50?

All thoughts welcomed

Well, I know breeding a bantam hen to a standard rooster made large sons and smaller daughters. The cockerel is about 2 times the size of the pullet

But breeding a half bantam male to standards produces standard daughters, small daughters and large sons so far

Not really sure what that translates to, only what I've seen with my flock

Thank you for your first hand experience, I really appreciate that.
