Anyone know what a male quail sounds like?

My Aggie quail are very loud at certain times of the day, which I don't have a problem with. But the constant chattering and crowing at night is a real problem. Shouldn't they be asleep at night instead of making all that noise? What is causing them to be so loud and noisy at night? Any ideas? I don't want my neighbors to file complaints.

Don't know how many males I have but know at least a couple. We brooded them in our living room and when my husband is home would reply to their "Look at me" with I'm looking. Now they are in a pen outside by our side door and will hear them calling. I don't find them loud at all. But with having over 75 chickens and 8 guineas all free ranging, they don't compare. Guineas are the worst but I don't even hear them any longer. Gotten used to it.
