I got this chicken as a biology project. We had to make the chicken imprint on us, and our teacher bought the chicks from a farmer. If it helps, I live in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm still thinking roo, with that comb at 6 weeks. A low profile shot of the legs would be nice, but I don't think it'll change my mind. And knowing they came from "a farmer" tells me it's not a hatchery sex-link, he could of course been breeding his own sex-links, but it's unlikely and I don't know what cross would make that color and those pink legs. I think you have a mixed breed roo.

If it's not from a hatchery, it's highly unlikely to be a true SL. I'd say it's a roo, and it looks like a buff orp cross of some sort with those pearly pink legs.
