Anyone Know What Breeds Are In This Sweet Dog?

Hmm. He looks like he has shorthair pointer in him. The little black spots on him couldnt be from a beagle or a boxer, so that rules out a mix between just those two. He could be a shorthair pointer/beagle/boxer mutt.

Rather than GSP, which would be a bit exotic around here, my first explanation for the speckles is Bluetick Hound. I've seen lots of hounds with spotting like that. Most deer dogs are mixed breed hounds - this guy looks just like some "beagle hounds" my neighbor had a few years ago.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of that before, he could have some Bluetick or Redtick in him. :)

Looks like an English Pointer to me. Hard to say though. I also agree with DutchBunny03 that he may be German Shorthair x Beagle.

The tail and coat to me also suggest he may have Redtick Coonhound in him, maybe mixed with Pointer, Lab, or Beagle.

Thank you! I think he definitely has some hound in him, but whatever he is, he's a sweetheart! I think we are going to eventually get him a DNA test, and I will be sure to share the results with y'all when we get one. :)
