Anyone know what color this is called?

I got him from a feed store as a chick, (didn't plan on getting a bantam at that point
I just remembered something:
Some years ago, Ideal Poultry was offering Old English Game Bantams in "Cream Buttercup Pattern." They were meant to be the same pattern found on Buttercup chickens, but with the gold diluted to a pale cream shade, and Old English Game in size/comb type/body shape.

They aren't offering them now, and I'm having trouble finding photographs online.
I found one picture (not a photograph):

And someone in this thread apparently had a young one:

(I cannot find a photograph of an adult male to compare with, so this is still just a guess.)

That looks exactly like he did at that age! I couldn't find a side photo but here's one of him around that age and then one a bit older. Cream buttercup, Ooo, that sounds so nice.😆
Thanks!! That really helps, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that color of chick!:D
Ideal used to have such a wonderful variety of Old and Modern English games... I really wish they still did, I'd be buying a lot more from them if so.

Sooo I just found some pictures in Craigslist back east that show roosters looking just like him and the seller is saying they are Cream Buttercup Pattern. I'd post a picture but I'm a bit paranoid about someone saying I stole the pictures. Anyway, I think you hit the nail on the head! Thanks so much! I've been wondering this for YEARS! :celebrate

Literally, years, I could never find another bird that looked remotely similar, and any books that showed color varieties and patterns wasn't helpful whatsoever.:idunno
Sigh... and if the post wasn't a month old and on the opposite end of the country I'd be swiping up a pair or two of those Old English games... Just for old times sake, and the fact I can never find any.:th
