in this economy or waiting til things swing back??

I have been told three times that I am OVER Qualified for jobs because I have a Associates Degree in Business and actual work experience more than "Do you want fries with that?" I actually had the manager at one of the local McD's tell me. to my face, that he wasnt going to hire me because those jobs are for the HS and college kids that need them.
All I want is a JOB!

I'd like to get a good job when the economy gets together...

I work at domino's... for a dollar over min... and I'm called an asst. manager. I want more... But not sure how, don't know any other jobs but flippin burgers and making pizzas... don't really want to do telemarketing for a couple extra dollars... I want a real job.. but what is a real job?

In what major? An A.S. (2 yr) degree is a whole catchall category, like how a four-year college degree is a BA or BS or you go to grad school to get a PhD.

What major you get your degree in will determine what it might be useful for

A real job is a job that makes you totally miserable... joking, kinda

I have been in customer service for years. It's a real job. It's also one I dont want to go back to. But I have the most experience in that field. Sadly its also the one that has been outsourced overseas.
I loved my last job. I love e commerce. But right now everyone is in a "panic" over the economy and all business's are suffering.
The Block Buster video down the street from us is closed. A BLOCK BUSTER. IN a college town.

But the coffee places and the liquor stores here are doing good still.

Find your passion. Then follow that. Try to be happy in whatever job you do. I am somewhat lucky. My dh makes good money. I dont have to take "just any job" I am just praying things change soon and i hear back from the job I just got laid off from. I miss my office and the people I worked with.
I was offered a job at a decent stable. But the horses are freaking nuts. I dont need to be worrying about getting injured anymore by some nutty horse. I have my own nutty horse to worry about

I
was thinking of taking these corses, but am pretty sure I won't be able to go all the way to being a vet or nothing, because the closes university is hours away... but figured that would have to be able to get me something... but I want to make sure I don't waste alot of money... and end up working at a pet store or something. I would like to get some kind of job working with animals... but wasn't sure what there is and how to get there.

That looks like an interesting program. You could go work for a vet or on a farm or at a zoo. You could work at a University as a animal science tech...
I know that some community colleges actually have a vet-tech training program.
Would you like to be a vet tech? Something you might want to consider is contacting your vet or a local vet and see what they look for when they hire a vert tech.
Good Luck
Christina
