Anyone know what this is?

We have 3 acres of this stuff... we ended up mowing it down but I'm thinking it's probably useful. I gave it to the rabbits and they liked it... the poultry not so much...

Looks like crested wheat grass to me. Not sure where you are located and if this is indigenous to your area, but that's what we call it here in central Indiana.
