One of our blue bells has a mark on her waddle. My husband thinks it's dried blood. Can someone tell me how to attach an image with this post? Id like to know if you guys agree or know it's something else? No other signs. Thanks!!

Ok got it. Here's the photo!

It could be blood from a peck or injury. Can you try to wipe it off with a wet cloth?
We didn't try because we didn't want to hurt her, but looking at it my husband thought dried blood. I will ask him to gently try cleaning it off to get a better look. Wasn't sure if this was something else that could be easily identified as something else or not :)

Combs and wattles are blood rich tissue, so a scrape or peck may bleed more than you'd think. If that's what it is, it's not something to worry about. Watch it, post another picture if you see changes that indicate it's something else, or if you see signs of infection.

That is comforting to know thank you. We've only had them for a year and a half and have not encountered any bleeding or injuries to now so it's good to know they could bleed more than I'd think. I will definitely post changes or if we can't clean it off. Thank you guys!!!
