With the raise of GMO feeds I have started worring about the fact we eat the eggs and meat from our birds, who are fed GMO grains. I have started to study about making our own more natural feeds. Anyone else making their own natural non GMO feeds?
Just wondering what you use.

We started off buying NON GMO grains and then just holding back part of that or seed. Since non GMO grain actually grows. For the babies I hand grind it, and then add seed heads and grass ( the babies that start out in the incubator and brooder that is) I also get meat scraps from the local butcher, Not pork, just lamb and beef and hunters bring me deer carcas that the ducks and dogs love. Then I hit up the local store for old produce. Its saving me allot. Next year we will expand all that in hopes that all of the feed for the ducks come form all natural sources from the farm. That will save me well over 3000 in feed costs as well as make better ducks. We are also holding back enough hens that we can produce about 2000 ducklings a year, thats not counting turkeys and guinea and my small flock of Orpingtons.
I would love to know what other people are doing to avoid the GMO feed and growing their own.
