Anyone Manage Leg Deformity Long-Term?

Pics
New wrinkle in Twiggy's saga - bumblefoot on her hock joint. I check her leg frequently for swelling, etc., so I caught it very early. I think it's mainly from all the pressure it takes because she uses it in a way nature never intended. I think I'm going to have to keep it wrapped indefinitely just as a preventative. She hates having it wrapped, but I figure she will get used to it. I gave her some meloxicam tonight just because her hock is more swollen than I like it. I also gave her a little extra turmeric and golden paste. Overall, I think it will be manageable. It's just one of those complications I didn't anticipate.

She seems ok considering the situation. Good grief it looks soo severe. But it sounds like she's in good hands.
It is severe. But she seems perfectly happy otherwise. She is very attached to little Myrtle, and she does jump and play, especially in a pile of leaves. Her condition does make her timid; she must instinctually realize she's vulnerable. She goes to bed quite early.
