Anyone order extra fluffy chicks? I didn't -.-

So I was watching my chicks all morning, cleaned their brooder, and when I finally decide to take a break, and have a nice hot relaxing shower.... I come back to my brooder only to find out my dogs had gotten in, and knocked over the water.... The chicks were all wet, and one was crunchy, since I think my dog put her in its mouth.
So yeah I had to move them back to my new hatchling brooder to warm up, then blow dried them youngest to oldest.
They loved being blow dried, but I am just fuming over what my dogs did. Have any of your guys dogs done stuff like that?
Oh and all the chickies are sleeping right now... And I have to clean out the brooder completely for the second time today.... Dogs... Gotta love them... Because if you don't the ASPCA will come for you.

I know my dogs would have LIKED to get to my babies!! I kept their brooder in the middle of the dining room table with chairs all around! At two weeks we moved them into the garage on the workbench. The dogs don't go in there.

My dogs aren't an issue but my cat wants in there for the heat lamp, not the chicks. When I'm setting up a brooder before i even have chicks to put in it the cat thinks it's the best sauna ever. He also likes to sleep in our greenhouse in August when I think it's to hot to breathe in there.

I put the brooder box on top of the dog's crate usually. They would love to chew on the chicks if they are on ground level, but aren't THAT interested in getting to them if they are out of sight.
At least your dog only slobber-loved them - I'm pretty sure mine would have the same fate as stuffed toys do, though I'm sure the dogs would only be trying to "play"

One of my dogs would lick them until they were bald and the other two would just eat them...we have a no contact policy in effect for chick/duckling/gosling safety and my sanity...

My cats would love to play with them. I keep the door shut to that room when I have little ones.

I just got my first 2 pullets a little over a week ago. They were at my friend's house while we were there staying over. My dog, Daisy, is a big American bred black lab and she just wanted to stare at the chicks. She caught my friend's rooster in the back yard (he's ok) and I was worried she'd go crazy over the baby chicks. She didn't seem to really care much about them. They weren't running for the chase! I brought my babies home the other day and introduced them to our two kitties. The kitties just rubbed all over our hands while we held them out for them to see. Today I was sitting in the bathroom (where we have the chicks with their heat lamp and bed) playing with the chicks and my kitty, Jake, came in. He wanted to play too! He started purring and rubbing against them with his head. Marking his scent I'm sure. Then he licked their toes! Just like he does when he licks our fingers. I think he likes them but I'm not sure I'd leave them alone in a room just yet!
