Coccidia - Blood Seen in Broder

Update. More bright red blood in the brooder this morning 😥 glad I started treating yesterday. Am I able to give them any sort of vitamin supplements while on corid?

Now that is concerning, though it could also be from some sort of injury (hard to tell with chickens sometimes!)

Do not give vitamin supplements while on Corid. It's a thiamine inhibitor so if you add more thiamine into the mix, it basically counterbalances what its doing. Once you are completely done with the duration of Corid treatment you can give them a little of whatever vitamin supplement you have, if you wish, though it's likely not necessary.

Are any of them acting lethargic? If you cannot identify the specific chick that has been leaving those samples it would not hurt to give each chick 2 drops of undiluted Corid per day for 3 days in a row. Just very carefully let the Corid wick into the side of the beak and they will swallow it. This is called drenching.
