They don't have a website, just a phone number. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about them.
(Nervous about ordering chicks from far away.....)

I have not but I passed your message onto one of the groups I belong to.

Hall Brothers Hatchery
PO Box 1026
Norwich, CT 06360
860-886-2421
Fax: 860-889-6351
production and broiler baby chicks, hatching eggs, started pullets, turkey poults, capons, ducklings, started turkeys, goslings, guinea keets

Not sure how much help this is but I got a reply.

"I think that's where I ordered my guinea keats from a few years ago. I
don't remember having any problems with them. They are not far from where I
live. Probably an hour or so away. Niki"

Hope that helps a little...

i saw your post about this and asked one of my neighbor if they knew anything about hall brothers, they had some good luck w/ their guinea keats and turkeys. there is also a guy in brooklyn on rte 169 who has a sign up for chickens for sale, not sure what he's got for breeds though. i can get you a # for someone who has aracuanas if you want them. you can also try the salem feed store on rte 82 near the 354 intersection by gardner lake. they have many varietys of pullets and ducks for sale, plus i believe they order chicks also. good luck.

I will by from salem grain and feed. I only will buy chicks and ducklings. I feel that they want too much for the grown birds. Last time I was there (june 07) they wanted $65 for a silkie chicken and $30 for a grown Rhode Island Red

Thanks everyone. We won't be looking to order or buy chicks till the spring but doing our research now. Salem sounds like a great option.

I ordered my RIR's from McMurray hatchery they have a website, and i also ordered mine sexed, with my luck otherwise i would have gotten all roos, I only lost one out of 25 and they send out newsletters. I was happy with what i got ,

Thanks! I was looking for information on a local hatchery (not much to choose from out here). I've heard nothing but good things about McMurray. Turns out a woman I go to church with is going to be ordering chicks this spring so my friend and I will be combining ours with hers. No more worrying about an order under 25. No way could I have that many in my yard!
