I just started planting herbs, mainly for my rabbit, we certainly ain't gonna eat all the herbs

I planted! LOL. I planted parsley, cilantro & basil, and we cheated and bought some

already-grown mint plants. Im pretty darn proud of myself, being I didn't kill them.

Anyone else here plant herbs? And anyone with any tips are more than welcome to share,

as I barely know anything about them. This is the first year we've planted herbs!

I also plant herbs. Basil and Cilantro are great in hot weather. Parsley likes cooler weather...sprouts at lower temps and dies here in the summer. If I leave the dead plant to reseed itself, they come back up in the winter. The rest go all summer as long as I remember to water them. Oregano, thyme, rosemary and sage grow year round for me in AZ. The mint dies back every winter, but pops right back up in spring. Best of luck with your herbs!!!

I'm up in MI, and I have a smallish (2x4') herb garden right outside the front door for easy access

I have chives, oregano, thyme, sage and rosemary there. It's been coming back every year for a couple years now - I'm going to have to cut back some of the oregano because it's really getting crazy.

I'm hoping to get a good dill patch going out back - my friends have a section of their yard that grows dill like crazy, and I usually snag it from them for canning, but I'm hoping to get my own going well
