I have 4 coturnix eggs in the incubator, Its day 23. None of them hatched.

People keep telling me to float test them since they and really hard to candle. Should I do it? Anyone recommend it?

I'm just afraid if there is something in it by any chance..I don't want to hurt them by doing it..

It won't hurt them, you don't leave them in the water very long. Make sure the water is warm, put the egg in the water. If the egg moves (after it's settled) then it is still alive. If it floats very high then it's not. You can candle them, it's not impossible. But you really need to know what you're looking for.

Float testing is ideal for late eggs of any kind. I routinely float coturnix and most other speces including some rare and very pricey speces.
