Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

I only kept one from this hatch. A little cochin girl [she's gotta be a girl, she has the most submissive personality!]

She even took care of the hatch after her [she was 4 weeks they were 2 days old] I think she'll be a good broody hen!] When I was taking photos of the other chickens, she'd run back to me and hide inbetween my legs. When I was laying on my belly in the grass, she kept hopping up on my back and trying to eat my tshirt...when I finally sat up, she came over and pecked all the pieces of grass stuck to my legs off of me. Silly girl.

Seriously, the friendliest baby I've ever hatched out. I just love her to death.

Meet....Bigfoot!

She is beautiful!! I agree I think she is a girl. Her comb is dull red and it is also still very small. No waddles yet either.

So I finally went out and took some pics of the babies. They really do grow up so fast.

They went from this:

To this in a matter of 7 weeks:

and one of them was trying to crow this morning!!!!

Just threw away another one this morning, could smell something bad in the bator, sniffed it out and yep, stinky bad, hopefully it is the only one... down to 9 now on day 12.....

Sorry thumper.

I just set mine up 3 days ago. I'm going to wait a few more days to candle and clear out my eggs.

I do have one right now that's oozing out of a couple areas. I've got to toss it...I think it's going a weak shell.
