I raised the humidity to about 50%. The air cells certainly look bigger than before i started, but I don't really know if it is the right size for the incubation period. As I read that weight is the most reliable measure, I weighed the eggs before I set them. I incubated dry because the ambient room temperature is about 50% so I thought that was enough. I guess the heat in the incubator dries the air more than expected. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these eggs are still viable.urbanmamahen
i think i would raise humidity a little if most of them have lost too much. How do your air cells look?
What breed did you get?Hi everyone, I'm a little late but would like to join.
This is my 3&4 time hatching. I set the first batch on the 14th, but half the shipped eggs were broken. So they sent me more and the second set were set on the 21st.
So I should have a couple of fluffy chirpers this week and one with all you.
Sorry guess i am dumb but what is the conversion of 32C and 36C to Farenheit?I could just rip my hair out right now... I have 2 bators going And 1 is in lock down... the other is following with you guys..set on The 16th... arggggggg![]()
I woke up to 32 degree C in the ones set On the 16th![]()
and 36 degrees C on the LOCKDOWN BATOR <---not so bad
I have them hooked to one of those back up battery/ surge protector dohickies... I don;t know what happened...but it turned off.
Now I am so upset... I am Already doomed With overheated shipped Eggs...![]()
The weigh they say is the VERY best but i have also read the air cell is the most important as the chick has to have room to breath but not dry up but not drowned either. so the practical side.I do have a questionYou are SURE they are 20 % at this time and its the wrong %?I raised the humidity to about 50%.
