Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

I took my first one out when he was dry and fluffy (probably about 14 hours?) even though I was in lockdown too. It only took a second and my temp/RH did not change. He was fine in the brooder by himself until the next chick arrived.
Ok i wll do it.Cant wait to hold him anyway for a minute.!!

And then there were two!!! *Shreeks like a little girl*.

*drum roll please*

Here they are! [In the order that they hatched] I think I'm only getting 4 chicks out of this 12 egg hatch, which means that my hatch rate stayed about the same as the last one. Hopefully it goes better when the English Orphingtons get here.

He's supposed to be an aracuana

I am loving all the new fuzzy butts!!!! They are adorable.

Oh forgot doesnt the temp in the brooder have to be 99.5 for the first week? I have sort of forgotten.

Now I can't remember. It was either 100 or 95.
I have a third chick!!! They are all snuggling up next to momma on the hard to see side. Of course.

Brooder is 90-95 for the first week. Mine is at 92 and they are all doing well.

i got 3 boxes today. One was all smelly. The box itself was not busted... I Was a little disappointed when I opened it To find some stuffing and a handful of shredded paper. The eggs were wrapped. but left to bounce Around In The filler. The filler was not packed tight. Tell me if you have had eggs make it With This set up... This Is my first out of ALL the Eggs I have received to look like this.

only 5 eggs out of were not broken...

only a handful

this Was on top and had yolk stuck...AND ANTS...

I paid twentyfour dollars for the shipping .. it was in The medium Shipping box...not The large...
NO WAY... ANTS??? WHAT THE?

If you see blood get him out of there immediately.  Maybe you need a bigger box so they can get away from each other easier?  I nice big paper towel box from the grocery store works great.  They all peck/pick a little at each other, but if they are getting their eyes pecked at that is not good.
Do what you think you need to do for the greater good of all of them.

Congrats on the 5!! Yippee! Good luck on the rest:)

Thanx!!....figured it out....he was pickin at the leftover "film" ...
Put the food & water in the tote.....and seen a few goin to town (didn't even have to drip their beaks in the water) :)

Gave them a warm water (no soap) bath & wiped all of them clean...dried them off & putted back under heat lamp!

I got a 55gal tote with a infer-red heat bulb in a clamp lamp hangin from a clothing rack for them...they have plenty of room!

They're all fluffy again & the 5th hatchling was another Roo....so he has a Buddie!!...lol

Thanx Again....now I know to clean them b4 I put them in there...lol

Hope urs r doin Great too!!!

I would definitely send the pics to the shipper. I have a small business on ebay and would never send out something of that poor quality. I take pride in the quality of my product and packaging. Out of the hundreds of packages I have sent out I have only had 2 complaints (post offices fault) and I rectified the situation by shipping out new product by priority mail, free of charge to the customers. They left me great feedback as a result. My reputation as a Top Seller on ebay would not be what it was if I did not maintain my standards.
