I was just curious if any byc'ers will be there showing their birds? I'm getting kind of excited now for the Fair esp. since I've got chickens now myself. Can't wait to hit the poultry/rabbit barn and see if they've got any RIR roo's for sale! My dh has already threatened to ban me from the fair if I even think of bringing home another bird. This from the same man as we watch the chickens run around out in the backyard, telling me "Oh, I think a RIR rooster would be kind of neat-don't you?" Heck yeah-so we'll see.

So come on, tell me-who's gonna be there!!

It would be neat if people from byc who are showing their birds would put a "I'm a byc member" card or something on their cages so we can root for their birds!

wow! thats 5 hours from me dang it! oooh I think Ill try and fly at this one-and that is a great idea abot people advertising they are byc members! bravo and thanks for the link! Maybe Ill see you there-I will not show anything-not into that really but would looove to buy a few birds Ive been looking for!

My daughter is showing some Silkies & my son is showing his Dorkings. We've never done anything like this before so we're looking at this as a learning experience for us all. They're really excited... especially my son! He may have the only Dorkings there!

If you can go...GO! Its a great family experience!

My peanut butter cookies took a blue ribbon there when I was 12...I wont tell you how many years ago that was! lol

I'm showing in the 4H section for the first time.

The judges at my county fair, who are great breeders themselves, told me that my Sultan pullet had very few faults. Miss Rozzy took home Best of Show and 2nd place Showmanship, as well as several other awards. I don't think she'll do that well at state fair but I'm excited anyway.
