Anyone signed up for LifeLock, and then regretted it?

Just curious if any LL subscribers are concerned about LifeLock. Do you think it protects you or causes more problems. Would if you cancel their service....they have everything! What do they do with all the info they have collected?

Did you cancel it...wonder what they would do if I ever cancelled it. We bought a car yesterday, we never got a message or any contact from them that we had a credit inquiry. I called today and asked about it...she said when it goes on my credit report they will send a message. So it seems someone can buy a car and I wont know until it goes on my report. Not sure what good it does. I am thinking it is joke. Now I am worried if I cancel...they will sell all of my info!!! I did some research and found credit can be frozen. So I froze all of our credit. It makes it inconvient if you use your credit alot as you have to plan ahead and unfreeze it for credit to be pulled. But it seems like the best option.

I don't have LL,but I did freeze my credit with the 3 major companies for $5 each.
What does LL charge? I don't think I would ever get it.

I did an online investigation on LL. They do not monitor ALL credit transactions, just the credit companies that have an agreement with them. DH wants me to go with LL, but I think they are a rip off. The predident of the company had his identity stollen and didn't know it for a year.

It is $25.00 per person per month. I am freezing my credit and cancelling the LL. It is a joke. I would not recommend it from my experience. It seems to me they help if your identity gets stolen, but they do not stop it from getting stolen. Which is what is advertised. I think freezing your credit is a much better option!
