Anyone that has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease? I have a question

Thanks whiteconfections & Bluemoon. Funny thing, I went to the Rockies 6 years ago.
Whiteconfections, I noticed you are from Michigan, we would love to have you join us on the Michigan forum!

Hillbilly Hen - If you see this, what did you ever find out?

I just posted this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...disease-or-know-someone-who-has-advice-needed

My husband and I are getting desperate to find a doctor that can help him. I know this is a really old thread, hoping someone here can point us in a direction. We're looking all over for ideas. My husband seems to have some similar symptoms that you experieced. He does feel off balance and have some vision troubles, but not double vision.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I had forgotton about this thread. Sorry abut you hubby. I hope you can find out what you are dealing with and that he will be fine soon.
I finally did get a diagnosis. I have Myasthenia Gravis. It's an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness.

Thanks for the response! I'm glad you were able to get a diagnosis and I hope you're feeling better too.

For What it's Worth,

I have had serious "Auto-Immune Diseases" since 1986. ( 26 years now...)

There can be ( apparently ) many various and/or sundry "causes" of these MALADIES.

Usually, the Doctors have NO IDEA what might have been the original CAUSE.

Basically....it is when YOUR OWN BODY begins attacking YOU through your own "Immune System".

It ( your immune system ) gets "confused" because ....whatever CAUSED THE PROBLEM ...."looks" very similar to some of your own "tissues"......predominately "joints, muscles, connective tissues", etc. AND...after "killing-off the intruder".....your Immune System ( not knowing that it has completed its job....continues KILLING....you.)

So...the so-called "Medical Community" has FOCUSED upon "relief-of-symptoms".....
rather than "cures". And,usually, this is done by suppressing your own "Immune System"....which creates other problems.

Rheumatology is in its INFANCY yet today.........

....just my 2 pesos worth,
THE Curmudgeon
