I am just finishing up my first coop for ~10 chickens. Planning to use deep liter. I have a 100' Ficus benjamina (I believe that is what it is) tree and a chipper/shredder. There is some controversy over toxicity of that type of ficus. Would be awesome if I could use that in the coop/run as I have an unlimited supply but wouldn't want the chickens to have issues. It is quite dry where I live so moisture control shouldn't be much of an issue.

Hi there! Hopefully one of the fine folks here can answer. All the best!

Huh, never heard of this topic.
Did a quick google and it says the sap is highly toxic.
I'd avoid it.

Thanks for the input! That is kind of the way I was leaning, better safe than sorry.
