How many eggs did you set the first time.. and were they shipped or were you lucky enough to find some local eggs?

Congrats. I am interested in the details too but too old to remember what you set. I use that excuse a lot!

I have often used colored thick velcro bands that they use for organizing computer wires. I even have used it on my adult emus.

Gertie is an "it." I am sending in tthe eggshell for DNA gender analysis. I see a bullseye but it really isn't definitive. Someone told me to wait a couple months and vent sex and see if something pops out but I think I will do DNA.

I have now one egg in the bator. THe other was dented upon arrival. I tried to tape it up but it cracked further when I turned it today. I will be searching for a couple more eggs today.

I hate to pick sides (cause I think all emu babies are too stinkin cute).. but Elvis can TYPE... so he has to win by talent alone!

these eggs came from 2 different pairs.
