How long did it take for everyone for a chick to hatch since you heard the chirp inside?

I never did hear any chirping from one. The other one..... I just heard it a few hours before it cracked the egg.

We are on day 53.
3 eggs are wiggling and chirping on the inside but no pip yet. One of the eggs I don't think is going to make it. The chick is moving very little, egg did not sound and I made a hole to see whats going on- not looking good. He is small ,membrane is covering him and there is almost no movement.
I am not sure how long is safe to wait for chick to hatch after the eggs sounded and you hear chirping inside.
Anyway, I am hopping for a hatch

How is your emu #2 doing?

Not so good I'm afraid, it's neck was really stressed during incubation with the way it was squeezed in the egg. I'm gonna take it to a vet come Monday and decide what to do but I'm probably going to have it put down.

But the other one is very strong and apparently hasn't heard that you're supposed to walk before you run. That and it hasn't mastered standing or stopping yet so it's more like watching a rocket being launched.

Glad to see your two are breaking their way out!

How long did it take for everyone for a chick to hatch since you heard the chirp inside?

Egg A sounded Monday, then waited until Wednesday and pipped at night around 7 PM. After that it slept until morning and was out by 7:50 PM, so a little over 24 hours from the pip to hatch. Not a speck of blood during the whole thing too, was a very clean easy hatch and it was dry and already trying to move around not 10 minutes after.
