Anyone up for a Hatchalong?

Yes the tray is out. That is not paper towel but the sponge that absorbs the water from the auto-humidity pump so it doesn't drip on the eggs. I am moving the egg to a sort of homemade hatcher when the time comes because the Brinsea is too small for hatching. Good luck!

thanks for the info!
Sounds like if I do use the brinseas for the incubation I may need to move them to the reptipro for hatching

Yeah, I found that the eggs really respond well to sounds (whistle) more than tapping or anything else....since I work during the day, I have my incubator next to my computer, and I downloaded a recording of an Emu whistling/calling...and play it in windows media player, and put it on "loop" so it sits and plays that call all day. I don't have it really loud at all, so it's not annoying, but it's up enough so that I know the eggs can hear it.

That's so awesome Dan! Unfortunately we occupy our home during the day and I would go nuts. Just a few more days to go for this little egg.

LOL...yeah If I had to listen to it all day, I think it would drive me crazy...but I am gone from 7:30am until 3pm...so during that time I let it play. (during the last 10 days only basically) once the chicks are most active in the egg.
