Maybe you could record your voice to play for the eggs. Call them as you normally would and play it on a loop. This way they will emerge thinking that you are mom that has been talking to them. They imprint on whatever voice or sound they here while in the egg and respond to it after hatching.

You can also put the recorder inside the bator so that it can be quiet enough that you can't hear it.

I am still eggless

they have a great hiding place or she is just not laying.
I just went into the pasture to see where they are sleeping. I found a dogpile of emus all 7 .The babies are squished in with all the adults.

Got these babies today and at least 2 more coming on Sunday and possibly more if the female lays more eggs between now and then.

Which ones did you win Sumatra? I just won the two auctions for 2 eggs each from 7 unrelated pairs. I bid on these because the seller lives two miles from my house and I can pick up! He has 12 ready to hatch now but he can't just sell me the chicks because he thinks they are all spoken for, depending on how many hatch. If he has extras I may get some DNA sexed. Now my guy just needs to get himself out of my incubator! I need it!
