animals suffer bcuase owner dont know what do wit them after they grow up real big .. owners get tired of them cant get rid of after cute chick stuff wears away

I do not think my eggs are going to hatch. Out of 10 eggs I have 5 left but none are wiggling. One was suppose to hatch yesterday the 8th but nothing. None of the remaining five has any odor to them. I had a problem with my temps. I noticed during the days I was off from work, the temp dropped from 97.5 to 95.8 then would go back up at night. I ordered a new retipro 6000 and more eggs LOL! I plugged the new incubator in and doing my adjustments while the new eggs "rest." I have 4 eggs that arrived today and have 4 more on the way. I am undecided if I will get another 2 or 4 more for a total of 10 - 12 eggs. I am still going to leave the other eggs in the old incubator for a few days longer - just in case

I still gotta have some HOPE!

Most of those that are hatching these eggs keep them & have from what I've seen great fascilities. The few without the intention of keeping them once they hatch (myself included) already have homes waiting for them. That's a very prejudice thing to say since you have no idea what kind of people we are or what our plans are for the emu chicks once they hatch, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all...

Poor birds? In my opinion, poor you...you have no facts to base your statement on & your comparing people who hatch bird eggs to Paris Hilton. That's a terrible analogy & very inaccurate. I don't think any of the chicks being hatched on this thread are in any danger of suffering like you claim, everyone I've met on here appear to be very nice people & that's how you should treat them, by what little you know of them on here & basing your opinion on that. I know what you're saying in that some people hatch eggs (any species) without thinking it through. Then they have chicks they cant keep & need rehomed but I don't think that's the case on this thread. Emu eggs are more expensive, harder to get, need larger/expensive incubators & require stricter incubation requirements than your average poultry eggs. Someone that goes through all the trouble to succesfully hatch an emu egg usually is wise enough to think ahead & figure out what they're going to do with an Emu...also I think you're wrong about all the unwanted emus, I don't think it's very hard to sell them & if someone did have trouble then they could certainly give them to a good home for free. You should think before you just post something that is inaccurate, rude, disrespectful & naive
