I have 20 eggs sitting in my cooler,,oldest is now 5 days old,,,anyone want to do a home hatchalong contest? Highest percentage to hatch wins? Prize being a hardy handshake and pat on the back? I can wait about another night or two at the tops, then my bator would be overstuffed until my next group hatches out next week,,giving me more room. I'll put my incubator, incubating techniques, and flock fertility up against anyones, not that I'm a pro,,far from it,,but no shipping is invloved in this contest, all your own eggs and if you lose power,,it's your loss. I suppose we could include broody hens to hatch,,,they get scared and leave the nest too,,but it must be peafowl eggs,,thoughts? Who's in? Any takers?

Question,
Is it fair to put 3 or 5 or 10 eggs up against 20 and go for highest percentages? I mean not many folks got 20 eggs on hand and ready in the time frame you are asking ,IMO everyone needs to start with the same amount to be fair.
Just sayen
If all my girls were layen i could so go for the 20 though

I think it would be fair to put any number in, since it is % based not # hatched based... but I suppose 1 person putting 1 egg in and getting 1 chick would be 100%... so there should be some lower limit maybe.

zazouse-kedreeva,,Yes the more the better.Maybe 5 the minimum? I know not everyone has lots of peas, and mine slacked off last week from laying but last nights collection showed cracking the whip and showing the girls the crock pot has been working.

Alright, I'll "wing it" alone,,21 eggs going in tonight, may have to double stack some tho.Count is 7BSSP,7Bronze,3Midnight B/S,2Opal B/S 1Blue pied,1India Blue.July 15th due date,,definately a 2 bottle chill and serve event being planned now!!
