anyone use corn cob liter

I read in a book that you can use crush corn cob for litter can i use corn cob bedding for horses ,for the litter in my brooder I go get my chicks tomrrow also I dont understand how you keep your temp at 95 today mine started at 85 and now is reading 100 and i know it will go down tonight

I think that corncobs can harbor bacteria. I used it once and had some chicks die for no reason. I will never use it again. I use pine shavings.

The incubator is easier if kept in a consistant room temperature. Is always better if well insulated. You did not give a description or pics of your incubator. Humidity makes a big difference in temperature also.

not an incubator i was tailkng about in the brooder sorry about not being clear but I think it is okay because I just took the temp out of of the light and it was 90 so the can move out of the heat
