Anyone use eggies?

A friend just gave me a set of Eggies.

He saw them on TV and wanted them so he called. After getting frustrated with the automated system asking him to add his free set for only additional processing costs, he hung up.
So he ordered 2 sets on QVC (I think).

A few days later he got 4 sets in the mail. LOL

They do work, but it takes just as long as hardcooking normally and then you have to wash everything.

I think they would be great for soft boiled eggs for breakfast, though.

I have them! We don't use them for deviled though. It's hard to get them to cook the eggs just right so we just add add stuff to them. It's silly, I know, when we could just make a real omlet but the 10 year old likes he idea of the eggie so we go with it

I have one of these:
http://www.eggstractor.net/

took me a couple of days to figure out the exact techinque, but this thing works beautifully!
crackle the egg shell on the bottom, poke a hole on the top, put it on the platform and the bellows over it, then give a quick and SOLID downward press on the bellows and a whole peeled egg pops out the bottom!

works even when the eggs are really fresh and want to stick to the shell.
works on large duck eggs.
won't work on eggs that are too small, say, smaller than a medium chicken egg like a mallard or some of the bantam eggs.

proper technique seems to be the same as you'd use for CPR on an large heavy person... two hands, and a solid downward pop/thrust. need to make sure you get a good hole on the top and a good crackle on the bottom, but once you get the hang of it, it's brilliant!

I looooove this thing.

and I've just moved and can't find mine, so I'm ordering another. love it.
