Has anyone used Southland Organics products before?

I ordered the Backyard Chicken Bundle of chicken supplements: Hen Helper (poultry probiotic), Motherload (ACV with garlic) & Catalyst (poultry vitamins) from Southland Organics. I did so because it claims to help chickens in a variety of ways - cleaner eggs, chicken health via nutrients and gut care, etc... Also ordered the Desecticide for poultry mite abatement, trying to get ready for the hot GA summer with new hens.

But it STINKS so badly I can smell it all over the house. I put it outside for now but it can't stay out there through temperature fluctuations like we have here in Atlanta. Is this typical of their products? Any input from S.O. users would be appreciated.

Never heard of it.

How does it stink?

Vinegar, garlic, vitamins, etc. do have odors. You can read up on the products if you go to their website. Perhaps there's more details in the MDS/SDS sheets, sometimes it listed what type of odor to expect.

Desecticide has clove and mint oil, both are strong smelling.

A quicky glance, it's all going to have a smell.

Me, I just provide plain fresh clean water at all times. If absolutely necessary, I can make homemade electrolytes with a bit of sugar, salt and baking soda. Rarely are vitamins necessary, but if I feel they are needed, I just use human vitamins that I buy from Walmart.

For bugs, I spray the coop/housing about every 2-3months using a Permethrin based poultry spray (Permethrin10). If needed, I dust the birds themselves with a Permethrin based poultry dust.
