Yeah, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. Any coop builders here from Warren County NJ?

@Cryss If interested, keep an eye on it, that coop often goes on sale. I think there is a you tube video regarding that coop.

You could buy a Home Depot shed, make it into a hen house, and just have to put a run around it.

I have minimal building skills (ok none lol). I'm considering converting a shed. It would take less construction skills. I know you have some since you added plywood to your run and a new roost. More skills than I have.

That's actually what quite few do. You get more square footage per dollar with sheds.

I think prefab shed conversions might be the best solution for many. You can get a nice coop together in a few days for under 1,000. Or less than half if you get a used one from Craigslist. Hire a flat bed tow truck to pick it up, add roosts, vents, nests and a run. Could be ready in hours really if you are organized with a plan.

I kind of wish I'd gone that route, using my old shed roof off the barn hasn't saved me time nor money in the end.
