Anyone using champix to give up smoking??

i tried it and got a bad migraine from it. so bad in fact i had to go to the ER because i was puking and couldnt open my eyes. not everyone has a reaction like that. some it works for some it dont. i finally quit pretty much cold turkey when i was told last november it was causing me to have strokes. i did use the nicotine patches for a few days but the longer i thought about what i was told the easier it was to just give up. good luck! it is a battle. i have been smoke free for a year now and hubby has been smoke free for about 9 months! i cant be around it due to the strokes. we both still have cravings.

I don't know about you all but I feel so much better and I haven't had head ache now in ages, I used to get head aches nearly every afternoon I thought it was stress or I had a brain tumor

I was expecting the worst taking the champix tablets because I was told by a lot of people that they mess with your brain to much, and I told my hubby and my daughter(14) if I start acting weird or angry or easily upset please tell me. But I quess I'm one of the lucky ones, I was a little moody the first couple of days because I was having trouble sleeping at night for the first 3 days but after that I was great i even felt happier, more enegetic and I actually enjoyed the vivid dreams, I did get a little nausea just after I took the tablet a couple of times but I started taking the tablet with milk instead of water and I never felt the nausea again. I had to go back to the doctores every week and answer questions he asked me about how I was feeling. I didn't take them for the 12 weeks you are ment to I think i stopped after about 8 weeks only because I kept forgeting to take them, I'd remember to take the morning one but I'd forget the night one. I thought to myself that I didn't need them any more and I didn't woohoo smoke free and loving it
