The second and forth one came in a batch of straight run black stars. The speckled ones are the roos, right? Those suckers are HUGE!

And the others came in a brown layer variety or with the black sex links.

Whatcha think?

Top two are black sex link females
next is a red sex link female
Black sex link male
Red sex link female
last two pics are Gold Laced Wyandotte, looks like a female at this point but i wouldn't put money on it yet.

If they were in SR black stars then your black ones are pullets and the barred one is a cockeral.
Your red ones appear to be red sex links and are pullets if this is the case...Although #5 looks rooish to me in the face

. The rest appear to be wyandotte pullets but still a little early to tell with them.

hope this helps...

1. black sex-link, pullet
2. ?
3. red sex-link, pullet
4. dominique or barred rock, pullet
5. red sex-link, ?
6. black sex-link, ?
7. black sex-link, maybe roo because of the neck feathers. They look pointy.

One major clue to seeing if it is a roo is if it has any aggressive behavior. We know we definitely have two roos because one of them tried to breed with another one of our chicks giving us a clue it is a she. Our other roo makes warning or surprised sounds if he hears any of the chicks or chickens peep or squawk loud. He also tried to breed with our hen. Also, watch how they walk. One way we could tell another chick of ours was a rooster was because he strutted as a chick. Hope this helps!
