We have 4 eggs that could hatch any day and can't afford to have them pinioned. We would love to find a home for them. If you would like them pinioned we could have it done but you would need to pay for at least part of the cost ($650-$900 a bird is what we have been quoted!!!) If they don't need to be pinioned they are all yours. We are in the Seattle, WA area.

Hi if you can you ship to Kirksville, Missouri I would pay for it and I would absolutely LOVE

to have them, and they do not need to be pinioned. If they are still available please pm me.

i would like to take the swans if you can ship them i would pay for it, i live in Arkansas and have several large ponds for them to live on one is 22 ac. and several smaller ones and no need to be pinioned. thanks christine

I live in Port Orchard. I have ponds... Question however, please explain "pinion". If not for yours, education for my future pets!

I believe that is where you remove the outer part of the birds wing to make it impossible for them to ever fly. You would want to do this with swans because they will fly off to other ponds. Even mute swans will ditch you if they are not pinioned. This is preferable over just clipping the wings because clipping their wings would only temporarily take away their flight, you would have to catch them and clip their wings often if they are not pinioned. And to the other person, yes swans need water, they need a large pound and they feed mainly on aquatic vegetation.
