Anyone want some ducklings?

I went to tractor supply to get some grit for my chickens and decided to go look at the chickens and ducklings, big mistake! The older ducklings that were marked down to $1 were in horrible condition. Their bedding looked like it hadn't been cleaned since Monday and their poor fluff was caped with their own waste

. I was appalled and couldn't just simply walk away, so I bought all 21 ducklings

. I have officially banned myself from tractor supply until Chick and Duckling season is OVER.

Anyways I gave them a bath and they are looking a lot better now, they do have sores on their feet, but with some time to heal they look like they'll be just fine. So Now comes the task for finding them permanent homes. They are straight run so I don't know which are males and which are females. They are supposed to all be 3 weeks old but I'm thinking some are 2 weeks, or almost 2 weeks. These guys and gals are Pekins and are strictly pets, no eating them please. Well- I'd love to have some ducks, but I'm afraid we live too far away (illinois)

But- my hubby and I visited St. Augustine, FL in January- Loved it! Beautiful city....

THANK YOU for rescuing those ducks. I hope you can find them a new home. Try a Craigslist ad. I have one running for hatching eggs and half of the people have asked when I would have ducklings.

We purchased 4 of them from our tractor cupply.. There bedding was super clean!! I told Dh last night I wished that we had gotten more.. He was suppose to pick some more up for us tonight on his way home.. Guess I will wait to hear back from you on where you are located
