I have 3 2 week old chicks from the TSC straight run standard bin. Any guesses?

Chick 1
Light yellow with black and white barred wing feathers, yellow legs, and single comb

Chick 2

Chick 3
Red with back markings that look like a red-sex link, but wing feathers are black and brown. Yellow legs and a single comb.

My guesses
#1 no clue, maybe a roo?
#2 black sex link? If so, why in straight run bin?
#3 red sex link? If so, also why in straight run bin?

Thanks,

Liz

they are all sex links....
white: red sex link cockerel. he will be white with red on his shoulders when he feathers out
black: Black sex link pullet. the males have a white dot on their head.
red: red sex link pullet

it looks like they have very faint stripes on the backs, like chipmunk markings. I don't think RIR don't have these markings, or at least might didn't. And if they were in the same bin as the male red sex links and it was a 'straight run' bin, they have to be the female red sex links.

Okay...my chicks are now just about 3 weeks old. Here are some updated pics.

I'm pretty sure Chick 1 is a roo now, but is it really a RSL roo? Check out the feathering.

Chick 2 we all thought was a BLS pullet, but she is really big and look at her comb. Could she be some thing else?

Finally here is Chick 3, a possible RLS or RIR pullet. Any ideas which now that she has more feathers?

I can't help too much, but I can tell you that my BSL pullets, which are about 1-2 weeks older than yours are the same way. They are pretty good size and 2 of the 3 have a "decent" comb... I was not convinced they were BSL until their copper started really showing up on their neck/chest...

Another words, don't give up hope on the BSL

The other two, I can't help you much, but I LOVE my Red Start rooster. He's an old man, I have had him for over 5 years, and he was an adult when he was given to me. Very sweet and protective, but unfortunately submissive to other males
